![]() I've piled the log file, the crash dump, and all the. I found in the log file that Janitor's Closet was throwing many NullReference errors. I got to play around in the VAB for about five to ten minutes. I found the game translated the entry in the settings.cfg into 3E+23 after startup. To test this out, I went into settings.cfg and changed the long and the short intervall, by hanging many, many zeroes at the end of either. Other than the VAB, I couldn't find anything the crashes appeared to have in common.Īs it happened without my input, I thought "Maybe it's the Autosave!". Even when it's just running in the background, after the prolonged startup my large number of mods require. I thought updating windows and graphics drivers had remedied that.īut that game just keeps on crashing. Over the past few days, I got system freezing up or BSOD a few times. Problem: in the last few days, the game has started crashing for no apparent reason. If anyone loveed up, it was almost certainly me. I may have gotten that wrong, though the command that had been suggested there was not quite correct, it appears, either. Starting the game in OpenGL mode was pretty much the first thing I had tried, but not knowing how to build a command into a shortcut, I had done what I had thought a description elsewhere on this message board had described. To see whether your problem resembles mine, I will leave here the whole odyssey. Just in case anyone shares this problem, the inability to start the game in OpenGL mode, I will add a short description as the right answer. Been playing for over an hour now, no problems, so I'm convinced this solved the problem. I used the command prompt to start the game, all manual like. Neither had made the warning go away, the game kept crashing, and I found a surprising affluence of "d3d" related errors in the log. I had also tried the same with -force-glcore, which is the command that the warning from Textures Unlimited suggests during startup. Wonderful game when it wants to be but like I've said before, I swear down I'm positive this game has been designed to be the most awkwardest, hardest and most annoying at building and even gerenal launching at times.Īnyway, I know how you feel.As suggested elsewhere on this board, I had attempted starting the game in OpenGL mode by adding -force-opengl to the target field in the shortcut I use for starting the game. :/ Yeah same :'( For me, as time as gone on it has gotten worse to the point it is nearly impossible for me to play! The crashes coupled with the endless hours wasted on testing and hopeful journeys to new worlds which just fail, as always!. :pĮdit: No way I could get that chip myself I'd have to upgrade the mobo as well which would cost too much. ![]() I just don't enjoy reading the enterity of War and Peace waiting for loads. Which would be a real shame because as I said I do enjoy it. If squad doesn't convert to 64bit I see this becoming one of those games I forget about for years. why? I like having lots of parts to choose from so not every bloody rocket is the same. Originally posted by Arcamean:Personally I may be putting KSP away for a while, it's fun (when it works) but lately I run into lack of memory issues more and more often. :( Heh, lets just hope Squard fix it quick! Anyway, I'll definitely get more RAM then but only when DDR4 comes out (unless it takes like a year in which I'll just get some new DDR3 RAM) but I find it funny, out of the myriad of games which I play, it's KSP which always crashes due to RAM issues. :p Yeah just checked and all because of memory, yay! Haha, but yeah, there's a HECK of a lot to improve (the damn ediitng for one, I swear Sqaud made the editing the way it is soley to try and piss me off.) but updating to 64 bit is definitely up there! I wonder if they add Workshop support at the same as they do that? Hmm. If I tried a quarter of that with KSP I'd never get past the intro. While I realize they're two seperate types of games the point is my Skyrim has over 200 mods. even my Skyrim can have more mods with higher graphics enabled. For me it's 90% of the time memory, I hope they make the transition to 64bit and soon. Originally posted by Arcamean:If you check the crash logs, usually near the bottom you'll see the error message.
